Cut up and rearrange lyrics

Cut up some lyrics that you’ve been working on, either line-by-line, phrase-by-phrase, or word-by-word. Sometimes taking the last line of a verse, for example, and putting it first in the stanza can unmask something.^[ How to Write One Song ch. 10]
