Good sayings don’t have to be revelatory
Mark Forsyth says the only difference between a poet and anybody else is that poets express there thoughts well, but there’s nothing particularly exceptional or genius about their thoughts.1 Some may try hard to think of some universal truth to write, but Shakespeare did well to say something already said but add Alliteration.2
