200-600Hz: controls warmth; if not enough, edgy or thin. Inverse is true for 4kHz-7kHz.2
Cut 250Hz and/or boost 3.5kHz to add clarity.3
This seems to be just another way of explaining Frequency masking. Low-frequency boosts can tame harshness.
