Play is letting go of control

Being attentive to spontaneity is a lot like [[ Letting go ]] and the [[ Examen ]]. Spontaneity is that which is beyond my control. In this way, play is a spiritual exercise, and moments of spontaneity are gifts from God.

Try listing three moments in a day when something spontaneous and playful happened.1 I’d like to incorporate this into the Lynda Barry journal method. Play is creative fuel.
